Re: Mike Pence

Ed: His carefully constructed political identity is that of a thoroughly decent person. Read up a bit on his actual behavior - his voting record, Might be more useful to right a few sentences upon things he's done that you don't like. Ed: flip-flops, If the flipping and flopping is constant, then I...

Re: WAS dropping atom bombs on WWII Japan an immoral act?

Yeah, Hitler was a peace-loving guy who had no ambitions beyond Germany's historical territories? That's why it's submarines were constantly sinking ships in the Atlantic. A deluded, evil megalomaniac bent on genocide, building a war machine like no other - really, if he'd conquered Europe, wonder w...

Re: The Resurrection Events Analyzed by Scholars

Isn't it interesting, you crack open a Bible - even early in the OT - and you read of a geographic place and then go to a world atlas to search for it. Almost always, it's there - or the newer name is there instead of the ancient one. Try that with something like the Book of Mormon!

Re: The Resurrection Events Analyzed by Scholars

To further get a feel for the Jerusalem of the Resurrection and Jesus' time, I thought I'd give some interesting visuals. Here is a model of the 2nd Temple of the Jews – remember, the First Temple constructed by Solomon was destroyed, later to be rebuilt under Nehemiah. It is this second Temple tha...

The Resurrection Events Analyzed by Scholars

We all have so many questions about the New Testament's recorded events leading up to Jesus' Resurrection. To understand it on a far deeper level, it needs to be dissected per it's historical, First Century, Roman-occupied Israel and its religious, political, spiritual, and prophetic contexts. I ha...

Re: Was Jesus Tortured in hell for 3 days and 3 Nights?

The rich man did not have the love of God present with in himself besides being unsaved.

Because one cannot be saved and NOT have a deep love and concern for their fellow man. Good deeds and compassion are natural outflows of a person re-born of the Spirit.

Re: Why doesn't Judaism proselytize Judaism ?

Rick: You seriously know of people from no other religion who lie or mislead, in their responses?

Yes, why single them out. Do you see Muslims evangelizing to convert Christians or Jews? Hindus? I do see lots of atheists doing so, however.

Re: Russian Jet Shot Down by Syrian Rebels

I sincerely hope you're wrong.

They'd never get Congress to approve it, or to send troops to fill any resulting power vacuum. Iraq opened a lot of Americans eyes to the folly of such.

Watch what Lindsay Graham's response is.

Re: Russian Jet Shot Down by Syrian Rebels

Trump, clumsy with Syria, yes. But his past statements appear to show him desirous of avoiding quagmires and nation-building. Seems the best way for the Syria war to end is just to segment it and broker a piece that leaves Assad in power. Else the civil war drags on with increasing human costs. Remo...

Re: Healing a racist heart

Rick: It's one thing to work together with different groups, to talk about things that happened, but to ask forgiveness for something I personally didn't do? Right - we're not responsible for the sins of our fathers! And often, such PC thinking would have: A) People apologize who B) are not responsi...

Re: Was Jesus Tortured in hell for 3 days and 3 Nights?

This wrong idea comes from a misunderstanding of 1 Peter 3: 18-19: 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, 19 in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, ...

Re: Nelson Mandela dies

Excuses and placing blame on others, is a problem in America. Not white privilege. I can tell you that many minorities DO experience a lack of opportunities due to widespread prejudice. One would have to be blind to not see this. Many companies fail to hire non-whites. And so in areas where the maj...

ACB: First off,I said alittle too PC for me.Overall,I agree with your take on it but it just bothered me a tad-bit with you suggesting that perhpas we should have demonstrated the power of such a bomb in a remote area first. It is alittle too PC for me. ACB, PC is just going along with the crowd, be...

Re: Healing a racist heart

The most effective way to change a racist mind is not some intellectual appeal or lectures about history. It's through their heart and developing and understanding of how God views all humans. And per what God commands as to how we are to view and treat our fellow man. Because if a racist doesn't co...
