Re: Ben Shapiro on Beto

FlieG: Politicians in the USA must confess to some sort of religious mumbo jumbo because the public expects it of them and for no other reason. Of course politicians cynically use all kinds of religious self-identification to help them politically per voters perceptions. But a politician can also i...

Re: Neanderthals - Recent Finds and Surprising Activities

What about - and I"m only throwing it out for discussion - but if God created humans prior to Adam (per the view of many Christians) - and those humans were created far prior to an independent of the Adam to Christ lineage, then how do we KNOW that God didn't also created multiple lines of these pre...

Neanderthals - Recent Finds and Surprising Activities

These new findings, again, dredge up the question of what does it truly mean to be human - despite what Hugh Ross might think?

So Comets Brought Life to Earth?

So many problems with this! https://www.foxnews.com/science/comets-delivered-essential-element-for-life-earth Ya gotta love this outtake comment from the article: "Life appeared on Earth about 4 billion years ago, but we still do not know the processes that made it possible," says Víctor Rivilla, th...

Re: Who Knows

The classical fideist would insist that faith is necessarily independent of logic and reason. But that isn't the instruction of Scripture - which teaches much the opposite. Random comments by the late theologian Norman Geisler's comments below make that clear: God in fact calls upon us to use our re...

Intimidated by the Old Testament?

Here is an 8-minute overview of the Old Testament: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmgDU20Q50U Tell me what you think? I've been looking for an overview or outline for my sons - who both have the attention spans of a flea. The younger generation's aversion to reading any lengthy or complex text real...

Re: Is God a Moral Monster?

Paul: Please read Paul Coplan's book titled, "Is God a Moral Monster". Yes! Every thinking Christian who wishes to counter the typical and false atheist assertions about the God of the Bible should own that book! People say all kinds of junk they don't know what they are talking about - like, "The ...

FlieG: They don’t act the way someone like you or I will act because they have different motivations. Get it???

Because they are phony hypocrites that are constantly pandering, with a different face for whatever audience they are desiring to influence at the time!

Re: Ben Shapiro on Beto

Stu: Why do you listen to a specific pastor, surely he has got to resonate with you? True, Stu. So, the question should become, for us all - what is our measure of proper teachings vs. dangerous / false ones? Mine is Scripture. Where is a preacher in sync with Scripture, where does he deviate, and ...

Re: Who Knows

DB: So the reality of the basics regarding God and Jesus, really don't require much 'faith' from my perspective, because they are grounded in overwhelming evidence that from my perspective far exceed "beyond a reasonable doubt." And that's it, is it not? That so much massive evidence, from Scriptur...

Re: Who Knows

If God created us and put us in a sometimes terrifying, depressing, and bewildering world without any guidance or instructions that we could be certain of - including His love - then how could He truly love us??? Every parent loves AND instructs their children. And Christianity teaches us that God b...

Re: Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

I agree, that while we can't reach into a person's mind and heart at the point of supposed acceptance of Christ, for a person whom has the Holy Spirit within them, guiding their conscience, I cannot imagine that he would - for a very long time now - be constantly asserting Jesus wasn't God and the B...

Re: Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

I tend to agree, Paul. But although a guy like Erman may have once believed or even recognized who Christ actually is, I don't believe he ever submitted / committed himself to and invited Him in / received Him as their Lord - which is a saving faith. His was likely a belief in Christ like the devil ...
