Re: christian AND athiest?
Look, Cactus. You merely asked for our opinion in your original post of whether or not we believed it was possible to be a Christian and an atheist. We've given you answers, though you don't agree with them. That's as far as this topic goes. Your other claims (reliability of Scripture, fantasy of re...

Re: Sign from God?
I think it was from God. Reading the Bible often casts away the idea that most things are coincidences.

Re: Christian Music
For all of you rock fans: I recently purchased Flyleaf's new CD, and I really recommend it to Christians! While their first CD was pretty ambiguous, this one is full of really deep, Scriptural lyrics. I love how bold Lacey comes across in her singing. These stand out to me particularly: Beautiful Br...

Re: christian AND athiest?
and for_narniaaa I do not see how those verses help, you have to ask: was this man Right? if you can say "i believe" he was then you are sane...But if you say "I know he is" then that is a serious delusion. Men are flawed, is it such a destructive idea for Jesus of just to have ...

Re: christian AND athiest?
Here's what Christ said (according to the Bible, which you at least agree with somewhat in order to believe He preached the morals that He did) about following Him: "To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, " If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. " (John 8:31) ...

Re: When was the last time you suffered persecution fr yr fa
I'm not sure if this counts as persecution, but I've definitely been mocked. Once at a church camp, we held a worship service on the beach by a theme park. Some girls in the sky tram that flew overhead were waving their arms in mockery and laughing at us. It came across as very hateful and spiteful,...

Re: Animals and Heaven
I didn't read through this whole post, but I did look at a few responses. I don't think we should use quotes from prophesies (like Isaiah and Revelation), because many things mentioned in those passages are symbolic. So they don't necessarily imply that animals are in heaven. While I wish differentl...

Re: christian AND athiest?
The key to following Jesus is the fact that He *is* divine, that He is fully God and fully man, this is key to being a christian. It is His identify that allows Him to be the atoning sacrifice, to live the perfect life, die, and resurrect. That is the foundation of Christian beliefs. Zoegirl has a ...

Definition of Inspiration
I just want to start off by saying that I'm definitely not a liberal when it comes to the inspiration of the Bible. I believe it's inspired and infallible and the authoritative Word of God. Recently, when studying Bible "contradictions," I stumbled across one about how Paul's statements of...

Re: Can God keep a record of wrongs?
I believe that when Paul mentioned that "love keeps no record of wrongs," he meant that if you truly love someone, you will be willing to forgive them and not carry around a constant bitterness over how they wronged you. In other words, as Christians, we need to forgive instead of "ma...
