Who is The Holy Spirit

Good article on the Holy Spirit.

What are the names and titles of the Holy Spirit?

Some of it is quite comforting to know, understanding that it is the Holy Spirit who is beside us in life.

Re: RTB: Serious Problems with Evolution

A "critical mass" of such genomic information is required. A critical mass of "life", and I'd say "life forms", is required before natural selection can work its magic. Otherwise, there can be no mutations. First, an accumulation of life is necessary, an accumulation o...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Always find it funny when people try to define nothing as something, or something as nothing.

Re: Trump vs "The Media"

I personally give little merit to many "end times" prophecies Christians come up with. They're as wide and far as the sand on the seashore, and come and go according to the tide. Exaggeration obviously, but you get the drift.

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Though... the real issue was me being irrational, which I still think I'm not. I' ll try and write some lenghty text about why... I mentioned previously, either the Christian is correct and the Atheist irrational, or the Atheist is correct and the Christian is irrational. Both can't be rational, an...

Re: Trump vs "The Media"

I thought the Republicans said they'd pay for it. Huh... And while we're pondering, why is he going soft on China and hitting Canada with tariffs? Hmm... Maybe he's being soft on china so we don't get them defending North Korea. It's one thing to keep the war going with North Korea, but it would re...

Re: Comet: First Agriculture and Neolithic Civilizations

I know, maybe Trump can hit them and claim it was a comet! :P North Korea is really the only place I advocate us doing something about, and it absolutely mind-boggles me that previous US administrations chose to do nothing given all their threats and essentially a spoiled brat running the country tr...

Re: Comet: First Agriculture and Neolithic Civilizations

Science is revealing that comets and meteorites hit Earth more often than previously thought . They don't need to be that big to cause a lot a damage, especially to our modern cities. Consider the damage that would be caused by one landing in the Tasman Sea, say 100km away from south-east coast of A...

Re: "If you were born elsewhere, you wouldn't be a Christian..."

Yeah, I agree. I see the argument as largely a kind of red herring. Basically, "so what?" I think it's pretty obvious that people are influenced to believe in what the people surrounding them believe. And equally obvious that people by and large are going to stick with their original beli...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Kurieuo, how do you find the time for such awesome posts? I find it hard to even keep up with discussions - not that I'd have much to say anyway  Thanks, I try my best, but am naturally drawn to such topics any how as a matter of interest. I've also started seeing some merit, like my posts ar...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

I asked that you articulate why such is necessarily a contradiction in logical form in syllogistic form (i.e., If A then B, A therefore B), but you didn't. It isn't obvious to me that there is a contradiction, I don't see any. For, if it is God's will not to lie, then He is most certain free to exp...
