When I read what you write I remember an occasion many years ago. In my job I was discussing a technical issue, something about the logic of some software structure with a person that I didn't know very well. I had real problems to understand what he said but after more than one hour of discussion ...

If you would like people to argue for something like the Kalam aside from Aquinas, then feel free to open up the discussion in that direction. There are modern Christians (including at this board) who'd defend such forms, akin to those Aquinas refuted in his time when he actually defended criticise...
