Re: Morality

Why do you call it "unfortunate"? I don't see it as unfortunate, you just need to step up your game perhaps to ensure you're one of these many. You live in the US which provides many social opportunities that can be taken advantage of. I have such in my own country too. So then, if we deci...

Re: Morality

I don't know where the line is to be drawn, or more correctly what/why a line needs drawing? Is there anything wrong with psychopaths who don't have a conscience and see a person they killed being just as good as if they'd not killed? I'm thinking that such have perhaps risen our above evolved mora...

Re: Morality

Kenny, That's the same as arguing epistemology, when you really need to address how anything can even be considered right or wrong, which is ontology. Right and wrong are just judgment calls we attach to our experiences. They're just labels; thats it. Labels that vary from person to person Without ...

Re: Nature of Reality: A Challenge to Atheists

I made a few edits to be more clear. I wanted to add on the back of my final remarks in my last post, that is, with Materialism needing be rationally justified itself and not being a default position -- what I find contemptuous, rationally so, isn't that Materialists may believe in their view of the...

Re: Nature of Reality: A Challenge to Atheists

What is it like to be a bat I wonder? y:-? Well, conscious is a difficult question but how does that relate to what I wrote? Besides, you wrote on Sep 18: "Nils, also I haven't overlooked your post. I'm short of time lately, but I appreciate anyone opposite to my position who does try take up ...

Re: Hypocrisy

It's a false dichotemy. Lifestyle preferences have nothing to do with marriage, which is much more than what you do with your sexual organs. The better comparison would be "gay marriage" vs "polygamy" or "open marriage". Ed, sorry to single you out, but I'm sure I know ...

Re: Hypocrisy

And the questions noone ever asks, what is marriage ? Where did "marriage" come from? Is "marriage" religious? Is "marriage" just acknowledging what is natural? Is "marriage" a certificate? Does "marriage" have an true objective meaning? If everyone ...

Re: Anyone here like to surf?

Grew up surfing ages 11-28. It was a very exciting, fun, healthy, healing, elating sport. I thank God for allowing me to participate in his creation. Unfortunaltey, adulthood came calling. Fell out of surfing with responsibilities etc. Hoping to get back in the ocean soon. Love the waves, just body...

Re: What things, already in Heaven, needed to be reconciled?

First, more verses would be needed to support such a thing, that in Christ fallen angels can find reconciliation. In Scripture, I find nothing the sort supported, and rather the opposite. Those angels who oppose God have been chained and await judgement (2 Peter 2:4). Clearly, some are allowed to ro...

Re: Accepted Jesus, But Doesn't Believe He's God

Isaiah 9:6 - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Philippians 2:5-8 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 ...

Re: Are You Are Skeptic or In Denial?

All this certainty God doesn't exist is just proving my beliefs surrounding Atheists. If one doesn't see the first line of evidences such the orderly world as requiring some super intelligence, then chances are nothing else presented will change their minds. What I see is first needed, is a changing...
