Re: Understanding the Trinity

Christian's are bent on demonizing one another. They build themselves up by tearing one another down. If this is coming from disagreement with your erroneous beliefs, you equally believe ours are erroneous. Perhaps, you should look into your own advice. Since coming to this board, you've not been i...

Re: Understanding the Trinity

Doctrine is important, sadly church sermons often lack it today, than it did say when you were a child. Trinitarian doctrine is important for a coherent and consistent understanding of Christian theology, in what otherwise leads to all sorts of contradictions and errors. Whether or not one must have...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

I wonder Justhuman, do you believe our decisions and actions are determined, or do you believe in some sense of free will?

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Yes and no. One does not need the Bible to believe in God, but the Bible is God and God is the Bible. They are entwined. The Bible is the historical document in which God word is written. How can you see God apart from the Bible? You even quote your posts with "Whoever will call on the name of...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Bible is irrelevant to belief in God, so you're kind of building a man of straw there.

Re: New Theological discourse happening

Just because knees bow, doesn't mean such are saved. It sounds to me like you have a different understanding of what the real problem is between us and God, if you think the issue is a matter of our not bowing to God.

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

@Justhuman, I think all humans are rational, although their beliefs might be irrational. When Nessa posts her opening post, I think she must have been "venting" and angry at Atheists or something. :poke: (inside joke between Nessa and myself) If you really don't like being considered irrat...

Re: Understanding the Trinity

Your mess is in claiming in other threads something along the lines of: "Jesus is God but not fully so." Either Jesus is God, or Jesus is not, there's no half/half or this percentage, that percentage. Who says that??? YOU! Not one scripture alludes to that. To many, the bible doesn't expl...

Re: Understanding the Trinity

Firstly, in relation to what I said, Jesus being God is different from Trinitarian doctrine, Yes and no. Trinitarianism does teach more than "Jesus is God." Diety is just that....Jesus is God. and is to do specifically with understanding Christ's nature and also how we should logically un...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Hello human... The question does not suggest anything one way or another. It opens up a discussion to talk about dfferent possibilities. The starting question itself didn't, but Nessa does seem accepting further down about Atheists are fools. Right Nessa? ;) Correct but to be fair, God said it firs...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

As being an atheist I don't feel like being irrational. At least I hope not. To presume that all atheists are irrational, as the post-title does suggets, is irrational in itself. There is no one atheist like another, as there is no one Christian like another, etc… Hello human... The question does n...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

Rationally seen I think that (a) (biblical) God does not and cannot exist. And thats no 'guessing'. To prove the non existance of God is as yet impossible, as it is as yet impossble to prove that God exists. Rationally seen it does seem to me that it must be easier to prove the existance of somethi...

Re: Understanding the Trinity

It's good they didn't let you minister because it is such an important doctrine. For I'm sure you don't realise how, but if Jesus isn't God, then we're all still lost. I'd recommend anyone, in doubt about the Trinity, watch the series of twelve videos here (including you going south, at I'd hate yo...
