One more thing. You still have not explained the fact that Genesis referrs to the plural of what means God (Eloheim rather than Elohim). If you accept it was Jesus and the Father, then you must also accept that they are equal. Otherwise, it would be like me saying Dogs and meaning a cat and a dog. ...

I was referring to the argument the guy who made this site made. He said that saying Jesus is the firstborn is inaccurate b/c Adam was the firstborn. That's not a false assumption, that's the statement the guy that made this website said. So I said, that argument is incorrect b/c Jesus Himself said...

So, God is going to burn people alive for all eternity? Odd, considering in Jeremiah 7:31 He states that the thought of burning people alive never entered His heart. The references to hellfire come from the Greek word Gehenna, which was an incinerator used a trashpile in Jerusalem. The trashpiles we...

Which other bible translations? Would they be similar to the egyptian burial rites the mormons claimed to be the word of God? :P All I see is excuses and interpretations that require a great deal of imagination to work. As for Jesus existing before Abraham, no Christian doubts that. We believe He h...

Well, the Bible does say that Jesus is the firstborn of creation. I've seen the rebuttal to that on another page of this site, but it is illogical. The rebuttal states that Adam is the firstborn, while Jesus was born thousands of years later. But, that goes against what Jesus Himself stated. He sai...

Sorry, I know this is an old topic, but I feel I should comment on this. As for your first question, about water and plants. Genesis 2:6 says "But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground." I always interpretted this as morning dew. As for your second q...

As for the Behemoth. The example I've heard is the hipopatmus. But, one of the discriptions is that it had a tail like a tree. Last time I saw a hippo, it had a small tail. I've heard someone suggest the Komodo dragon. But the Komodo eats other animals, not grass. "he eateth grass as an ox"...

How did light come before the Sun?

Hi, this is my first day on these forums. I am a Christian, but there is this one thing that puzzles me about the creation story. On the first day it states that God created light. And called the light day, and the dark night. But, then on the fourth day, it states that the Sun, moon and stars are c...
