Re: questions for science( let's hear your answers)
Make sense? yes and no. I am aware of everything you stated. I just always find it comical. When confronted with "you can't prove evolution," the repsonse is "you can't prove anything." Well yes you can. It just seems some in science want to use semantics that are convenient. Th...

Re: questions for science( let's hear your answers)
Things are never “proven” in science I love that. Science hypothesizes that water will freeze at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. It just never thinks to stick some water in the freezer with a thermometer and prove it. If you do stick the water in the freezer and prove it, you just did math. Brilliant. I qu...

[quote]Where did you study Hebrew, by the way, or have you?[quote] I wonder if that is a sincere question or an antagonistic jab. I find it amazing that I can source an article(whales) and Can can read right through it, ignore all the implications and then attempt to turn around. Wow! I mean it is p...

Re: Curious about YEC position
Glacial rebound. Yes I read, years ago. Who observed this rebound? I always wondered how anything can swim over a glacier large enough to depress a land mass. Maybe this is one of those whales with feet, and it walked over the glacier, and its feet disappeared. Too bad you don't hold this alleged an...

Re: Curious about YEC position
Local flood. That makes no sense. If the flood was local, why would God have Noah build a boat and then put animals on it, including birds when he could have simply sent them to higher ground? It totally undermines any credibility to trusting in the Bible at all. If Genesis is wrong, then death did ...

Re: Curious about YEC position
Actually I meant to link a National Geo article. Google it man. There are plenty of evidences that could demonstrate a younger earth. The evidence is evidence. It is often the predipositions of the persons analyzing the evidence that lead to outcomes. Tell me, how many scientists are predisposed to ...

Re: Literal snake in the Garden of Eden?
Comparing kids being told what to not eat in the fridge to God's command of what not to eat is ludicruos. First, sin had not entered mankind. The serpent is the one who tempts. that is obvious in the text. “Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?” Very crafty. He says,...

Re: jesus is a sinner?
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 2 Tm 2:15 All scripture is God breathed and good for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. A little rebu...

Re: Curious about YEC position
Can you think of a scientist or an example of how science independent of an assumption of a Young Earth based on interpreting Gen 1 & 2 (or possibly even other faith's scriptures) would conclude that the earth is less that 100,000 years old (which is the outside limit of most YEC proponents.) I ...

Re: Question about abortion
God has placed a conscience within us. Asking why aboriton is wrong, IMO, is like asking why is murder wrong. I mean we could just look at the bible and say, "because God said so." Yes, that is true, but why did God say it. Because His law is a reflection of His character. It reveals the t...

Re: Curious about YEC position
What all of your points assume is that the text of Scripture requires a YEC position and therefore science is to be disregarded if it indicates or argues otherwise. Absolutely not. I am not a banner waving 6,000 year old creationist. But, I would careful on what to classify as science. (testable an...

Re: Curious about YEC position
As a YEC I don't have any problem reconciling a young earth and evidence for billions of years. I think the earth is thought to be old because of the evidence. The evidence in and of itself is not flawed. Evidence is evidence. It doens't have a theology or opinion. It just is. However, interpreting ...

Re: Can a Christian Be a Darwinist? (debate)
My question is why?
So you are not a beleiver, why beleive in Darwinism? Because it is intellectually hip I suppose.

“You don't have to look hard to see that teeth are getting smaller, skull size is shrinking, stature is getting smaller.” What? Smaller. Just basic observation over the past 30 years shows that people are getting bigger. I am 5'11" and I am continually astounded that there are so many 8th gra...

Re: killing...maybe have been answered, i am new
The Law that governed Israel was the moral law, civil law, etc. It was THE LAW and it was serious and severe. We live under the new covenant promised through the prophet in Ezekiel 36. Israel was God's CHOSEN people and those people lived under the Law. The Law demonstrates God's uncompromising holi...
