Rabbit Joke
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for the following joke. (sorry, i though that necessary). A man is driving down the road. He sees a rabbit jump out in front of him. He tries, but is unable to swerve out of the way. He hits the rabbit. He gets out of the car and sees a dead rabbit on the road. He is...

Re: The true religion
Again, what verse tells you it is saturday?!?!? I believe it is at the end of Luke. If we take Sunday as the resurrection day, the order of the days in Luke, between Christ's death and resurrection, put his disciples following Saturday Sabbath. That being said, i completely agree that the day is ir...

Re: holidays
Zoe,
They have scented candles? My wife would love that (i can't smell, literally, so i don't tend to appreciate stuff like that).
There is one Christmas carol i do like: Silent Night. Other than that,![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Questions on Evolution
I have a question on Evolution, but i first wanted to state a few things ahead of time. First of all, i do not believe in evolution (at least not macro). However, i do not believe it has to interfere with Christianity. Also, i am not asking this question as an attempt to attack evolution. I am only ...

Re: Divorce and Remarriage
Ok, I may sound "old-fashioned", but a couple may only be divorced in God's eyes, other than adultery, if the husband decides he no longer wants his wife. Then both are free to remarry. The only other way is death of a spouse. What?! I am a guy and i don't agree. (with if the husband deci...

Re: sabbath keeping
I could be wrong since i do not have a whole lot of scripture to back me up. I, also, struggled with this myself and i came to a conclusion: I don't really think God cares what day we set aside, as long as it is set aside. Many local churches have started to have a service on saturday afternoon as w...

Re: holidays
Just to add a few things to the discussion 1) Use a fake tree (solves your stewardship problem, zoe 8) ) 2) I normally don't put anything santa or frosty the snow man or anything else like that up. I try to only put christian-like (is that a word?) stuff. (ie, i put the nativity scene, maybe a littl...

Re: The Fall of Man
That is one reason there are so many religions and different sects in each religion. I like this statement. While i do believe there is one truth to the bible, one way it is all supposed to be, i also believe that as long as we have the basic truth (Jesus lived and died for us), the rest is "g...

Re: Who Created God?
Exploding stars known as supernovas created the dust that the universe is made of. And what are these exploding stars made of? Dust. ANYWAYS, i know faith is a huge issue, but is there any concrete evidence that God was before time? The first verse in the bible is "in the beginning..." I ...

Re: Death/Dying
In a Christian's perspective, there is nothing wrong with people dying. When they die (or are killed) they get 'promoted,' so to speak. Dying is not the end for the christian, it is more of a beginning. As for people dying painfully, i don't really have an answer. The free will description the post ...

When she asked, "What's the shirt say," she was referring to the tag that would tell him how to wash it. He simply read the emblem on the shirt.

Re: The Fall of Man
I have come to believe from my experiences that there are many unconscious influences in our lives. Do not mistake me, I believe we are responsible for our actions but I am simple saying there are many unconscious factors that make us who we are. I have seen in my counseling experience many people ...
