That's the problem for the YEC position. It starts from the position that the Bible teaches a YEC position and then it embarks on a search for evidence. Rather than be a problem it's a benefit. Start with the Word of God and work outward. I notice many if not most Old Earthers seem to put more fait...

Are some of the people of Islam dangerous or is it Islam itself, and the doctrines that the Qur'an teaches?

What passages from the Qur'an teach violence upon anyone who is not Muslim? And, doesn't the Bible have a few verses like that?

Thanks in advance.

Cool. I'd say that's sufficient to demonstrate just how far apart the two religions are. We are Christians - followers of Christ, and they never could be
Well, thats the biggest distinction between us and other religions.

Well, in Islam, Jesus is sinless (I'm pretty sure) and more holy than the Prophet Muhammad. Mary is the only women ever mentioned in the Qur'an by her name. Most Muslims call Christians and Jews "People of the Book" It's those kind of things that I find interesting I guess. Muslims give mu...

Pakistan in the Middle East? I don't think so.
Pakistan can be classified as part of the Greater Middle East, thanks to President Bush, as opposed to the the traditional Middle East. It can go either way.

Out of the top ten countries with the highest population of Muslims, only two, which are Pakistan and Iran, are in the Middle East.

Out of those choices, I would view it favorably, but even that doesn't accurately describe how I feel towards Islam. Besides the Muslim extremists, I respect the faith.

I need to caution you against practices like Yoga and Transindental Meditation, where a person yeilds their body and minds to strange Spirits, chanting mantras, etc. Meditation in the Bible is not TM, but meditating on the Word and in Prayer. God takes His worship very seriously. Consider that God ...

I've not stated you're wrong to utlilize buddhist meditation techniques. I do think you need to be a little more discerning on this idea of universalism. I believe Jesus taught and modelled respect of others in many ways, but it was not universal. Interestingly his most vehement words and expressio...

Did Jesus teach all faiths should be accepted and respected? John 14:6 I said that, because I don't think its going to hurt my faith. Buddhists are very accepting, in the sense that they don't mind what your faith is. I'm not going to stray away from my faith in Jesus Christ at all. Do I think Jesu...

The big problem here is the denial of a diety. Buddism definatley makes this claim unfortunatley, a HUGE mistake. So handle with care... True, but some Buddhists just leave the idea of deity alone. They don't necessarily all deny it. I would like to point out also, that although a Buddhist might de...
