Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

How can babies and fetuses see evidence for God and act on it? Seems a kind of left of field question, was it aimed at something in particular here? My answer would be that they can't. Yeah the part in this thread that atheists are irrational since we can see God through creation, but I w...

Re: New Theological discourse happening

Probably up to 80% of the total population of people that have ever been will not be saved. I put a low estimate since infant mortality rates were quite high for most of history and prehistory, so a lot of babies will be in heaven, and we really don't know how much of the caveman like Homo Erectus o...

Re: Jehovah witnesses

IF Jesus and the father are separate beings, then that automatically means there are two different gods. NO! It means that they are two separate beings with the same divine attributes, God the Father being the greater and ORIGINATOR. They have the same mind, purpose and spirit. If anything, it's th...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?

It isn't logical or reasonable to not believe in God, unless there was nothing (in which case it wouldn't be applicable). The reason people don't, I agree with Ravi Zacharias that it is firstly and primarily emotive. Like how people don't believe there's a god since evil happens in the world. Grant...

I agree.

Re: New Theological discourse happening

And SDAs, who are a more legitimate so-far-as Christian orthodoxy is concerned, do adhere to a more law-based system of theology through which they interpret Scripture. They do so but I think they escape legalism by saying if you love God then naturally you would do these things. I have SDA relativ...

Re: New Theological discourse happening

It makes us look like we don't know what we're talking about. If we can't get our basics right within the Church then we're going to lose credibility. The Church has already lost credibility. It is losing ground especially in the U.S. and the EU. The average unbeliever views Christianity as "j...

I can see the idea of inclusion, wanting people to be Christians and following the golden rule, but the bible clearly teaches universalism is false.

Re: Genesis 9:5

When carried through to a different topic, such as why "natural evils" are in the world, I think such a view can generate quite a sophisticated natural theodicy -- rather than believing nature to be just static and non-unitary, that nature is aware on some level and united amongst itself....

Re: God as a big black woman

From what I've gathered, it teaches a few theological truths but it's not a good book to know about God. At least they did get this about Jesus right, a Middle Eastern carpenter.

Have you had any supernatural experiences?

We got to be careful talking about some, bc some are dangerous, like some orbs and shadow people (not in corner of eye either). I've experienced those. But I've had examples of where my guardian angel and/or God helped me too.
