Re: Aware 2 1% done as of October 15th 2015

I'm still not entirely sure how NDEs fit into Christian world views. Can someone give me a run down?

Re: Personality types

Rick: Took the test again today. Same result. ISFP-A y:-? Yeah, Rick - that's you alright! But they used to just call them hippies! :pound: ISFP: In search of a free/freaky pad! It's ironic... The first trait I'm supposed to have, is a strong artistic ability. I have no artistic abilities wh...

Annette: What about Revelations with a small S? Uh, NO! My other english "no-no" - people asking, "Where you AT?" or "Where you gonna be AT?" A little irking: "I was born in the 1960's." Well, the 1960's WHAT? It's 1960s, people! Doesn't the p...

Kenny, I do wish you wouldn't hyphenate "thank you!" Sends a linguist like myself (if I may call myself a linguist) round the bend!

If God created the universe, why did He place the Sun a little too close to Earth?

Something that has always bothered me. The Sun is our lifeline - it is essential for pretty much anything humanity and the rest of life needs to survive. However, the main issue with the sun is that it is blindingly bright. We cannot look at the sun without suffering irreparable damage to our eyes. ...

Is it wrong to state that Jesus specifically created the universe and everything in it?

I often see this line of argument used by sceptics. They claim that the man, Jesus of Nazareth, being God himself as part of the Trinity, therefore created the universe and all its parts down to each individual quark and neutrino, and go on to assert that this notion is utterly ridiculous. I must sa...

Re: new study on nde's says they are real

I seen that. Interesting video, though I'm not convinced that NDEs help prove a soul in the Christian sense. Nor am I too sure if NDEs are even possible or expected given Christian theology.

Re: Alien Civilizations Search

I honestly don't believe there's alien life out there. We constantly hear conflicting stories from the "experts" regarding the subject and that gives me the impression no one really knows what to think. According to some, if there were alien life out there, we would already know about it b...

Re: The Reliability of the New Testament (External Evidence)

I wonder why anti-theists constantly argue there's no evidence of Jesus outside of the Bible and then go on to argue that he never existed. Do they just conveniently ignore evidence that shows they are wrong?

Re: The earth looks old

And all Rick is saying is that in the context of the age of the Earth, "young" and "old" have solid definitions. "Young" meaning thousands of years, "Old" meaning billions and billions of years. There's nothing relative about this and I'm not sure why you ment...

Which passages? It seems here you are grasping at straws and - dare I say it - not entirely sure what you are talking about.

Re: Why do 'Christians' find it hard to believe that God made earth and all that is in it in 6 days

I can see that there are many types of birds and many types of dogs and many types of cats but there is only one type of human other than color. So maybe that is why there is not a link of animal and human fossils. Because we didn't come from them but were created separately What is your view on hu...
