Re: Do YECers show a deal of disrespect to science?

I have read it from the horse's mouth. I'd like to see a debate though, how do YECs respond to criticisms to their worldview. Instead of the canned, scripted "rebuttals" on YEC websites that are rather unconvincing.

Re: Do YECers show a deal of disrespect to science?

Couldn't we discuss in this thread so we can all learn about young earth creationism?

Belief in Christ saves us - what exactly is "belief?"

I've been wondering this for a while now. What, exactly, is "belief" in Christ? Is there an event that we have to believe without questions? Is being a bit skeptical still classed as belief and will it get you saved? Let's take an example, a questioning agnostic for example who is curious ...

Do YECers show a deal of disrespect to science?

I myself am a firm believer of OEC. I simply cannot dispute that the Earth is very, very old. I do, however, enjoy reading about the views of YECs but unfortunately, very little of what they say tends to sway me even in the slightest. It seems their main response is "the science could be wrong&...

Strange. She is opposed to Christianity yet takes advice and morals from the Bible. Like the vast majority of people do. Hmm... y:-/

Re: Was it God's intention for us to doubt, argue and disbel

Good point. I would've thought something differently. I would've thought since the first world countries enjoy much more luxuries, freedoms and a higher standard of living, they'd be thankful to God. I suppose that seems like wishful thinking. Perhaps it is the selfish, sinful nature of people to n...

I am interested to hear what members here think of biologos.org, who promote evolution and Christianity together and evolution doesn't disprove Christianity nor creation.

Re: new study on nde's says they are real

As a new believer who has a strong fear of death and dying (don't we all? Unfortunately my fear of death became obsessive and I needed therapy, but that's by they by) I find NDE research fascinating. What a strong comfort it is that death isn't the end and we may have evidence to that; even promine...

Was it God's intention for us to doubt, argue and disbelieve

The historicity of Jesus Christ and the truth of his resurrection are, without doubt, among the most discussed and important topics of human history. Almost 2000 years ago, a man claimed to be the Son of God, performed miracles to prove this and then rose from the dead to really throw away any doubt...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here

Hello everybody. I am new here. I am a new convert to Christianity and I have yet to be baptised or go to a serious church session. My story of converting is quite a long story but to cut a long story short, I will just say that when I couldn't seem to sink much lower, God helped to pull me back up....
