Re: Hey I'm Josh - AVID CREATIONIST

Thats just prompted a thought... Am pondering evolution now, tis all I've been taught really, I dont dismiss it but tis flawed, feels flawed. Cant really explain it. I can relate the big bang and to a point, evolution, to Genesis 1 and 2 but I still feel like im not descended from, I was created, am...

Re: Hey I'm Josh - AVID CREATIONIST

I'm undecided on my creation stance (though drawn to progressive or theistic) but imo tis not important, what is important that we believe we were created.

You guys know I say what I think. right?
Ness, because society, instead of loving them and accepting them, told them they were wrong.
Homosexuality is demonised.
Homosexuality isn't "normal"

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

Guys.. Take a breath, seriously. There are so many things being brought to the surface here, it's raw. Mel, Philip, you are allies not enemies. It doesn't matter who's right. God will judge. You guys are clashing, over details, please don't. mel... I hear you, I really, really do. Christian? Religio...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

I have a really simplistic view on the death penalty.. We are doing exactly what we are condeming. Murdering. I am open to discussion and will willingly concede I'm wrong if I can be shown why. Philip, in that verse, does God say who he will be put to death by? This is where I lack in not knowing th...

Re: My journey

A few people on here know a little of things that have happened recently, one major thing in particular. Before I type my thoughts, I am now fit and well, weed free and only drink on a Saturday night (four cans). Just before Christmas I was diagnosed with cancer. Doctors found a shadow on my lungs, ...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

Firstly... Mel, thank you for sharing about your ectopic pregnancy, it's cases like yours that, if anything does, makes me feel that in some situations abortion is justified. It is such a hard topic to address, so many shades of grey, it's hard to define what is right. Re the Downs Syndrome babies, ...

y>:D<
Too late to pray you don't lose your mind though

I'm currently looking for a church to attend, a friend I chat to online has offered a few suggestions and has offered to come with me, I may well take him upon that.

Great news Jac, you'll be great!

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

Even before I was a Christian I never blamed God for me losing my babies, these things, as heartbreaking as they are, do happen. They are outside of our control whereas abortion is fully within our control. Why does God allow stillbirths rather than killing the baby at conception? I don't know, why ...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

In answer to your question... Personally, I thank him for my miscarraiges. Life is full of heartbreak. I begged him to save my third baby, a girl, literally on my knees. He knew I wasnt ready, if my babies died at conception, I wouldnt have known them, loved them. It is not better that they died at ...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

Story: And so far, the only person who thinks God is cruel is you. Death is cruel, sure, but we all die. Difference is, tis God Himself deciding or us. I know who I trust. Again, the very moment ANY mortal steps from this reality into God's loving and peaceful realm, will be the best day one could ...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

So what, abortion isn't cruel because it's our decision and not Gods? *Sigh* For some pregnant people no doubt it is, but whether it is or not doesn't absolve god of the cruelty he inflicts on expectant parents. Why sigh? I would rather lose my baby to God than to murder it. Tell me then, if it's c...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

So what, abortion isn't cruel because it's our decision and not Gods? And, given the choice I'd rather have been pregnant five times and lost four babies than been pregnant once with my daughter. Without those losses I wouldn't have been the kind of mum I am, my daughter wouldn't be who she is. Besi...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

Okay... Why do I condemn abortion (and to be clear it's the act not the person) but I don't condemn God? Because, as a beliver in God and Christ, I think only God has the right, and wisdom, to take our lives. Abortion, in particular, just seems cruel and heartless, if you don't want a child, don't g...

Re: A Beautiful Life - Almost Wasn't

Just seen your edit... I don't have the answers, not really. I know the pain of losing babies.. You can use that argument with loads of things though, why do kids get cancer, why do some babies die hours or days after birth, why are there child murderers, rapists? Do you agree with abortion? This is...
